Morris Missry is the Managing Partner of Wachtel Missry and the Chair of its Real Estate Department.  Long considered one of the most creative and knowledgeable attorneys in New York, Morris has been representing clients in real estate and corporate matters globally for the past three decades, acting as outside general counsel for a wide variety of prestigious individuals and privately held companies.

As a result of his experience, Morris can quickly assess and understand his clients’ goals and needs to effectively assist them by developing unique and unexpected paths to arrive at their desired solution.  Morris brings business, technical and practical experience as well as an unmatched level of commitment.  He is particularly adept at, and is widely known for his ability to, structure, negotiate and complete high-profile deals in all major asset classes. Morris has worked closely with developers, owners, REITs, pension funds, private equity funds, investors, family-owned real estate businesses and high net-worth individuals in all aspects of domestic and international commercial real estate and corporate transactions, including multifaceted property acquisitions, dispositions, CMBS, mezzanine, preferred equity and other debt transactions, joint ventures, loan workouts and debt restructuring, hotel and food & beverage management agreements, as well as retail, office and industrial leasing, mergers & acquisitions, asset, stock purchase and trademark licensing agreements.

Morris has facilitated flagship developments and projects throughout the United States, Canada, Great Britain, France, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands and Spain. Morris has also handled some of the largest luxury retail leases in New York City, including Bulgari, Cartier, Coach, Ermenegildo Zegna, Valentino and Dolce & Gabbana.  He has handled record-breaking deals involving the development, acquisition, disposition and financing of mixed use residential and office properties, hotels, retail properties, shopping centers, data centers and industrial properties.

In his private life, Morris is a committed husband, father, civic leader and philanthropist, contributing to and advising numerous charities and public service organizations.
